I am now considering returning it, but I really loved the image quality, only audio is killing us. Is there something wrong with my particular WP4K device? Am I missing something? Is the audio quality on the WP4K only for spoken word? I watched the livestream BMD did when presented the WP4K on their YouTube channel and audio was fine. We do music and concert live streaming, so audio detail and wide spectrum is paramount to a nice user experience on the other side. So I arrived to the conclusion problem is between WP4K encoding and platform receiving the encoded video and audio. I connected my WP4K to a computer, using it as a webcam in OBS, and then streamed and audio was superb. The new Web Presenter 4K is a compact design that includes a 12G-SDI input with down converter, so customers can select to stream in 1080p HD or 2160p Ultra HD resolutions. Some of it consisted of: changing audio cables and interfaces to the switcher, changing SDI cables from the switcher to the WP4K, changing plaftorms (Restream, YouTube directly), changing settings in my stream keys to support higher quality streaming, changing the settings in the streaming quality on the WP4K, all while checking the monitor data and all audio was running OK. This new Blackmagic Web Presenter 4K model has an upgraded Ultra HD resolution H.264 encoder for live streaming in native Ultra HD. Checking for every possible thing along signal chain that could be introducing the problem. So that sent me down a rabbit hole of testing. I recently purchased a Web Presenter 4K (WP4K) along with a new switcher, cameras and stuff.Thing is, I did some testing and 4K picture was really nice on YouTube but audio quality was really awful.
